Darron Schall, Principal Architect, stands proudly on his ten-year track record of developing applications for the Flash Platform, and is a prominent voice in the Flash and Flex communities. He is a frequent speaker at ColdFusion and Flash user groups, and has served as a co-author and technical reviewer for a number of publications including the ActionScript 3.0 CookBook from O’Reilly.
Darron earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Lehigh University, knows his way around all the traditional programming languages, and has been using both ActionScript and Flex since they were first introduced. He was drawn to Flash for its easy approach to visualizing dreams, and embraced Flex as a natural evolution of that platform.
Darron remains actively involved in open source technology projects including MATE: Flex MVC framework, Flexlib: Open source Flex user interface components, as3corelib: Adobe ActionScript 3.0 Libraries, FVNC: VNC Client for Flash Player 9+, and even AS3 Cards: Card-game API for ActionScript 3, and FC64: a Commodore 64 Emulator for Flash Player 9+.
