Practice: User Experience
Title: UX Architect
Ken is a UX Specialist at Universal Mind, specializing in understanding our clients’ business and problems and working to find solutions that meet both client and user needs. His design philosophy is to always look at whatever tools are necessary to find a solution and to create the best possible user experience.
Ken is a seasoned vet in UX, with more than 20 years experience that includes design, program direction, organizational management, and project management, all across a diverse range of fields, including finance, education, healthcare and international development. Prior to joining the UM team, Ken was managing director of two charitable organizations abroad (GROW and Touching Tiny Lives) and program director for CARE Lesotho/South Africa, In 2002 he started designing user-friendly interfaces to assist organizations with data collection, management, and accounting.
When Ken isn’t creating user experiences to solve problems at work, he can be found doing almost the same thing at home; where he loves to dabble in web development and build Android apps. Away from UX and code, his spare time is filled with family and father time, hiking, writing music, and then playing said music on his guitar.
