How can we help?

Design? Check. Strategy? Check. Bulletproof code? Check! People who can manage it in an agile and efficient manner? Check. Someone to help you create your next big product? Of course.

Warm Community Welcome in Dallas’ West End

Admittedly, I love throwing parties! Designing events, coordinating details, and welcoming guests fills my spirit with an unparalleled sense of excitement and anticipation. Life, and all we accomplish in it, deserves to be celebrated! Having hosted a variety of birthdays, baby showers, and holiday gatherings - I’ve realized that envisioning these joyous occasions and working to make the celebration a reality is one of my favorite creative outlets.

So when discussions began for planning a party marking Universal Mind’s first year in Dallas and the opening of our West End studio, I was thrilled to be able to help. Pinterest board created and to-do lists made, our team set out to start sharing ideas and gathering inspiration. The summer was spent settling into our new office and getting ready to welcome guests to the space. And after much preparation, Wednesday evening arrived!

Excitement hummed in the air as furniture was rearranged, decor thoughtfully positioned, and caterers prepared to serve. The space was elegantly staged with high-top tables covered in white linens and beautiful bouquets. The ‘living room’ of the West End studio proudly shared Universal Mind’s mission that “We enhance human experiences and solve everyday problems through technology” in beautiful hand lettering on an expansive chalkboard wall. Centered below, delicious sweets included “UM” decorated cupcakes.

At last, it was 5:30 and guests began to enter. Friendly smiles and warm handshakes filled the room as a diverse group of attendees filtered in. Clients, community partners, civic officers, and government officials arrived, greeted by Universal Mind employees and thoughtful gift bags, delicious nibbles, and refreshing beverages.

The evening delivered rich dialogue and meaningful connections. Party goers enjoyed fine conversation and a tour of the new space, plus a warm welcome from UM’s Dallas leader and VP of Client Services, Andrew Sevin and Brett Cortese, CEO. It was fun to see colleagues mix and mingle with clients and partners, have established relationships revisited and new ones forged. The kind words, congratulations, and support expressed by those who came was moving and humbling and exciting all at the same time.

With such a great turnout, it was clear to see how supportive the Dallas community has been in welcoming Universal Mind to the West End. In appreciation of this support, Universal Mind was excited to give back by presenting a $500 contribution to the UX Club at UTD. The donation signifies the beginning of a partnership with the group, sharing the commitment to impact students and create opportunities for them to stay in North Texas.

We owe our success in Dallas and this event to the tireless efforts of the team on the ground, our Events Manager, Lara Abramov, the Universal Mind leadership team, and our wonderful Dallas community who has graciously welcomed us. Our sincere gratitude to everyone who made this event fabulous!
