Partnering with HMH for Innovation in Education
Since the inception of Universal Mind over 14 years ago, we have been known for innovation across a variety of industries. The Education industry is one in particular that has benefited greatly from our expertise in experience design, technology, and agile delivery.
Education software has continually seen needs for specialized skill sets such as data visualization, streamlining complex workflows and developing highly performant applications running against very large data sets. All skills within Universal Mind’s wheelhouse.
Enter Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a global learning company that specializes in pre-K-12 education content, services and cutting-edge technology solutions. HMH creates engaging, dynamic and effective educational content and experiences from early childhood to K-12 and beyond the classroom, serving more than 50 million students in more than 150 countries.
With its release of HMH Marketplace (Beta), the Labs team at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt approached us about partnering with them for the launch. HMH Marketplace (Beta) is an online destination connecting educators and creators, where creators can develop and sell education solutions for the classroom, and educators can find new teaching resources, applications and games created by fellow teachers and participating ed-tech developers and companies. Having had a long-standing history of working successfully with HMH in a client/vendor relationship, this was an opportunity to truly partner with them in helping to deliver innovation within the education community. We knew we had the ideal app to help them deliver cutting edge solutions to the education community; iBrainstorm. And so it was the perfect match - HMH Marketplace would now feature our educational app iBrainstorm. The HMH Marketplace offers Universal Mind a new channel for delivering our solutions directly to students, teachers, and parents while leveraging the brand equity of a leader in the industry.
We are proud to have launched HMH Marketplace (Beta) with so many great products and providers, including Universal Mind. Our strong partnership with teachers combined with our relationships with technology companies makes us uniquely positioned to help connect these communities, driving meaningful engagement for buyers and sellers. — Claudia Reuter, Senior Vice President, Labs
