On the Road: Universal Mind sponsors the Category Management Association conference in Las Vegas
Universal Mind is proud to sponsor the upcoming Category Management Association (CMA) annual conference, taking place on Monday, September 12 - Wednesday, September 14 at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
As the retail sector is an area of focus, the opportunity to connect with industry leaders helped inspire Universal Mind’s decision to sponsor the event. The CMA is a retail industry trade group with professional members on five continents and over 7,200 members. Its goals include helping members further category and brand growth by increasing consumer satisfaction and fostering strategic partnerships amongst retailers, suppliers and solution providers.
Fostering strategic partnerships is accomplished in part by asking retail industry leaders to present findings and solutions to attendees. In fact, Meijer, one of Universal Mind’s retail clients, will be delivering a keynote presentation, speaking to the channel-less retail experience and how to bridge the digital divide. Art Sebastian, Head of Digital Shopping and eCommerce at Meijer, will present “Bridging the Digital Divide Via a Channel-Less Strategy” on Tuesday, September 13 at 8:45 am in Events Center A.
As a solutions provider with deep roots in the retail sector, Universal Mind will participate in ‘Speed Networking’ and ‘Solution Provider Demos’ throughout the conference. On Monday, September 12, Universal Mind will have the chance to meet one-on-one in 5 to 10-minute increments with event attendees. Then, on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, the Universal Mind booth (#14) will host “Solution Provider Demos”, which are 15-minute sessions that allow us to showcase our innovative retail solutions.
In addition, David Tucker, Universal Mind’s Executive Vice President of Technology, will address the crowds on Tuesday, September 13 at 10:40am in the St. Thomas A room. Speaking to “The Digital Continuum: Digital Value Delivery in Retail”, David will discuss the rapid delivery of new digital value and how that’s becoming one the key competitive differences in 2016. In this session, David will review the mindsets of industry innovators, the digital pain points that most retailers face and the Digital Continuum, which serves as a map of digital value delivery in the ideal state organization.
Organized into different tracks, including shopper marketing, insights and analytics, the CMA annual conference is sure to leave sponsors and attendees with additional collaborative and thought leadership insights.
